Central Electronics Question: Retrofitting European tail lamps

The NA spec Smart ForTwo has one drawback, the singular brake lamps/parking lamps/turn signals...

so Smart Techs, this is a question for you!

Can the NA spec ForTwo central electronics unit be re-programmed to use the european tail lamps? Is the wiring there, ect?

These are the units that have amber turn signals and rear fog lamp on the drivers side:


If this is possible, can we get part numbers for the ROW/EU tail lamps and ROW switch unit that has the rear fog lamp switch?

I can tell you right off the bat that the rear fog lamp button has no wire in the wiring harness. If you pull out your center button console, remove the connector, then take the white shield off the retained black connector, you'll see there's nothing loaded for pin #9 in the harness.

So how much farther do you want to go? Is it a deal breaker?
