Cheap mood lighting mod

Being scottish I don't like spending my money unless I really have to
so at christmas I bought a set of battery powered blue led fairy lights from the poundshop, yes they cost me £1, cheap on any side of the pond

As the weather has been cold I hav'nt had the opportunity to fit them, until now
.
Anybody else got any cheap and chearful mod for their smarty.
El.

I think it has something to do with the steering wheel being on the wrong side of your car.. Must be a British thing

Looks nice though

Not sure if I shoulsd post here or on the luggage compartment thread but here it is, under "cheap". Walmart carries a 3 led light for about $6 that I glued to the back ceiling to light the area behind the seats. Since I rarely use a light there I didn't want to go through the trouble of hardwiring one in. There's a detachable mounting plate to allow a change the batteries and the light swivels so I can illuminate sections of the back. The only problem I had was the adhesive patches wouldn't handle the vibration of driving so I used 2 part epoxy. Glue the mount up and let the plate cure before installing the light.

It would be neat to see a photo of it.

FWIW, I used a similar light (Sylvania DOT strip) and it wouldn't stay up using the tape that came with it. I didn't want to go with the permanence of epoxy so I tried trim tape. That didn't work until I added the adhesion promoter. In other words, I found that using 3M double sided trim tape works after prepping the smart's The light has stayed in place for the last 18 months an many thousands of miles.
