In the middle of the week, we drove over to Austin to look at a few smart accessories that none of the dealers in the Houston area seemed to want to stock.
I have to say that our experience with the Round Rock folks was a very positive one. While the dealership isn't all that much to look at (unlike the combined Mercedes Benz-smart facilities here in Houston, which are palatial by comparison), the real value there is in the people. Paul, the head of the parts operation and a swell kinda guy, took a full three quarters of an hour with us to answer a whole slew of questions about all and sundry.
But, better than that, they were also able to install our rear barrier net and navigation system for us, while we waited. All of this without an appointment, or even ten minutes of advanced notice.
The divided setup, where the showroom is located perhaps a quarter-mile from the parts and service operation, is a bit inconvenient. But, all of the people we dealt with were first rate.
