Hey, I get it...So should you!

I know I was forewarned that my fog lights would not work. And I also realize that in just five minutes I could wire up an external switch and be done with it. But HEY, where is all that "smart thinking" I expected to see? Do I really have to do things the way I did in 1970 with my American Motors Javelin?

And, YES, I realize "As far as (you and) I know these lights cannot be activated by our smart centers..."

SO this is why I posted this message this morning, because, indeed, "whoknows," (smart may get with the program, show that they care about their dealer network's profitability and their customers enjoyment of their products and, indeed I hope)"...this may change if enough people demand it."

Get It?

Fog Lights from the Dealer

Just got a call from my dealer since I had enquired about fog lights when I picked it up (I had forgotten to order them). He told me they can now install them. $485 installed!!! A far cry from the factory install price. So obviously they now know the appropriate codes for the computer.

While you're at it, see if your dealer can find out anything about something similar for the DRL function. Thanks!

I would take care that you are getting the whole story. Installing has been one thing, but getting them to work has been another. I would have them verify that they possess specific recent information that they now know how to energize them. If they look at you with blank looks on their faces, I would decline the installation.

Any update to this?

Has anyone verified with their dealer that this upgrade is now available?
