That does look familiar -- but I DO want to see caroniaguy's installation! I expect everyone will tweak something as an improvement -- so share the wealth! Everything I know I learned from someone else.
I'll try and get pictures tomorrow, just too busy this weekend and wanted to tweak the shelf a bit. Just finished making a new support rod that looks somewhat cleaner than my first attempt and had to resort to velcro to hold the shelf in place. I had hoped that by making the measurements a bit tighter that I could avoid adding velcro and those shelf holder thingies but that shelf was moving all over the place. Sorry for the delay in getting pictures.
Ok, I have added pictures in My SCOA Gallery. Just click on the link on the left and hopefully, they will appear. Haven't posted pictures before so it's all new to me. Anyway, I used a 1 inch dowel cut to 42" and capped with furniture tips (reversed and bottom cut out) to fit snugly in the little square openings on the side. I also used industrial strength velcro to hold the shelf in place on the rod but found that I needed to add a little height to the velcro for it meet. I'm still tweaking and will update this as I go along.

Does anybody still have these templates mentioned in this thread? I want to build something like this but definitely don't have the skills without some guidance.
Great and ingenius use of the Shelf clips. SOMEONE HAS BWAINS!!!!!! :P
Very nice design. Now, just cover the raw wood with matching pleather, and it will look completely finished and professional... even store bought!
