Do I have to push a button to see the scangauge display?

I just got and "installed" my new scangauge... only problem is... everytime I want the display on I have to push a button? Isn't there a way to make the display stay on when the key or car is on?

When you start the car, the display will come on automatically after a few seconds. Be patient...

ok... maybe it takes longer than a minute then... I let the car run for min and the display didn't come on until I hit the menu button... then it went back off.

defective scangauge

First make sure the cable is plugged in FIRMLY(both ends)?
It should come on as soon as you start the engine?

If not, call and report the defect

My bad... I pushed hard on the connector at the OBD-side and now its turning on about 7 seconds after the car starts... might not have been in all the way, although, when I pushed on it - its not like it snapped into place or anything... don't know
