Wow! Reminds me of my first full day of driving in Pakistan, in 1969.
Was doing the then usual "road to Katmandu" in a VW bus.
We crossed from the right hand drive Afghanistan to the left hand drive Pakistan border through the Khyber Pass late an afternoon. Next day, after a restful night in our berths, drove off ON THE WRONG SIDE. Hey I just woke up. First encounter getting out of a curve, a rather dramatic one: a tank!

Both of us at what appeared to be full speed ahead. Luckily, they were (are) used to people coming "from the other side", and gave us some leeway! That woke me up fast!
