Hey Evilution, great tutorial on your site. Im wondering what the # to look for is to replace those speedo LEDs? The ones that illuminate the guage face and the LCD screen. Thanks much for taking the time.

PLCC-2 for the speedo and LCD. I have updated the page to allow for that info now.

Its not yours its from the monkey site that you advertise on your website. They make a customized one with color, font, etc...

What is this face plate?

I am just about to supply them with the 451 speedo and pod dial design so it won't be long until they are ready.

I'm planning to do this mod (thanks for the tutorial) on the speedometer color, but Im not that familiar with LED types. I was going to go with your recommended supplier EvilLED, however they dont seem to be familiar with the PLCC-2 spec. They have suggested the 509T, but I have a feeling this is not correct for the speedometer application. Can you clear this up for me? Is PLCC-2 all I need to know and I need to ask someplace else, or is 509t or 286t a correct synonymous specification? I appreciate your (and anyone elses) time.

No, 509T are for the old fortwo, they are big 5mm LEDs in twist fit bases.

All you need to know is PLCC-2 and the colour you want.

The new car is with more facilities. Most probably the interior and the exterior color will attracts many of them. The speed and the digital displays of the speedometer will inspires the driving peoples. The attractive mirrors will add "CROWN" to the car in US. Because peoples love to fit various models in that mirrors. There is also an interesting cars such as two seaters cars with various infrastructures and colors are available in US markets.
