Finally! ProClip phone mount for smart!

In the year I've had my car, I've probably tried about 5 different ways of mounting my phone - none of them satisfactorily. I use my phone (an HTC Touch Pro) with iGuidance for GPS, so I really need to be able to see the screen (even with voice directions). ProClip has finally made a mount that works very, very well. I just installed it today and am extremely pleased. The mount fits perfectly and just clips on behind the radio and into the seam on the left side of the glove box. It could be removed and no one would ever know it had been there. With a swivel on the device mount the phone can be adjusted so it can be seen by either a passenger (watching a movie on the vga screen? ) or the driver.

I plug my phone into a three-outlet 12v extension thingy superglued to the bottom of my cd holder, so the cord comes directly up and isn't in the way of anything. ProClip also has a mount that goes on the left pillar, but I thought I'd find that really distracting so I got the one that goes on the console. Anyway, here's a link - ProClip Mounting System *-*Choose Your Country. I couldn't link directly to the smart mounts, so just fill in the vehicle type. Enjoy! - sheureka

Just ordered it as well... can you still press the "SRC" button on the Radio?

The holder doesn't touch the button, so it's easy to still press it - though I hardly ever do, since I'm almost always listening to xm radio. - sheureka

It looks like the angled right-side mount is only available now for 2008-2010 models. The mount that goes on the left side pillar is available for all years. Check the website at Device Holders and Dashboard Vehicle Mounts*-*ProClip Car Mounts for Mobile Phones, GPS, and Handheld Devices. I still really like mine.

They sell the mount and the holder separately, and they have holders for various GPS' also. I have one for mine and it's great. A little pricey, but what is there that goes on a smart that isn't? Maybe the air in the tires.

By the way, that clip's been available for many months. I got mine awhile ago.

Yep; they still sell the mount. I've had a mount for my old 1st-gen Droid about a year, and they just last week released the phone bracket for my new Droid Bionic, so I'm back in business.
