Fog lights spliced into parking lights

Can the fog lights be spliced into the parking lights "US model" will the wiring hold and anyone know the wires to splice into? "save me from 1/2 hour of testing" since these are the MB lights and the SAM can't be programmed as of now?

I would add a relay and smart panel switch then run the power lead directly from a spare fuse in the fuse block. No SAM programming needed!!

No I bought the lights from MB and the grill inserts from Smart. SMART doesn't have the codes for the activation so you need to hard wire the kit.

"SMART doesn't have the codes"
What idiots. If your going to sell something you should at least learn how to make it work.

Hi Pat, sorry if my email sounded harsh but what you are planning means the fog lights are on all the time the headlights are on. We have big problems in UK with people driving around on clear nights blinding everyone with their foglights.
It is against road regulations here and I'm sure it is the same over in America.

Maybe consider adding 5 watt side lights or LEDs into the fog housing.
Evilution - Smart Car Encyclopaedia

55 watts is unacceptable for an unaimed sidelight.

That's the ticket. The panel switch drives the relay and perhaps smart has one that is lighted!!
