Which wires to tie together?

The wires going to the right fog light are brown (is this ground?) and yellow-grey (is the hot?). The left fog light has the same brown/yellow-grey pair with an additional pair of purple/brown wires.

The wiring diagram instructs to tie the hot wires of each fog light together and wire to Post 87 on the Bosch relay. Which pairs of fog light wires are hot: yellow-grey, brown or purple?

Without the lights, I cannot say what the two pair of wires are on the left fog light but I have heard Evilution say Brown is ground. Hook them up outside the car (unmounted) and test the operation. I am guessing the extra pair of wires on the left could be for a "Fog lights on" monitor for the SRM or ECU. It could also be just a lighted indicator run. Use an ohmmeter to measure between the yellow/grey and pruple wire. If my guess is right they should be internally connected in the lamp housing. If that is the case, when wired up to a voltage source, the purple wire will become a floating hot lead. You now have the choice of lighting the switch when the fogs are on or securing the purple and brown pair so they do not short to ground. (Lots of tape to make water tight)!! Hope this helps. After you do this, we'll worry about wiring the switch to the relay, relay to the lights.

There's a stack of brown wires on a ground bolt inside the left rear trunk panel.

I want the fog lights to come on when the head lights do - no switch used. I did a search on the net for an associated wiring diagram. I found good advice on tying into the hot wire of the right or left side lights. The side/blinker lights come on with the headlights.

Drive the fog relay with the + Battery from the headlight switch. Tie the contacts of the fog relay to the fog lights. Fuse both runs (to the relay Fuse 1 and to the fogs Fuse 2). You can omit the switch in the schematic as you are driving the relay coil with the headlamp switch.

Smart fog lights without SAM or switches

The pictures below are meant to serve as examples only.

I am tying into the hot wire of the side/blinker lights, which are always powered when the headlights are powered. To that end, I am utilizing the headlight switch.

I tie both of the fog light positive terminals (hot) together and wire into the Bosch relay post 87.

I am using a 25 amp fuse from the Bosch relay, post 30, to the positive terminal of the battery. I am using 12 gauge wire for this length of wire.

I am taping the positive wire of the side/blinker lights and connecting that wire to Bosch delay post 85. Thus, I need no switch.

Essentially, I am using the wiring diagram below but with no switch.

Perfect, I still would fuse the + Batt lead from the side lights you are using to drive the relay. Otherwise it should perform well!!! Congrats!
