Front License Plate bracket?

For those who want to add a personal touch to the front bunper. Will a bracket be available?

the smart will come with a plate holder for both the from and back, depending on your state/province laws will determine if its mounted on or not but either way you will get the front bracket with your car.

I'm ordering in European front plate holder for the smart as I want to put a European plate that I got from FancyPlates.com

Like it better without one but ...

my state requires front & back so dealer will probably already have the front bracket when delivered. Looking at that beautiful yellow coupe from Quebec pictured on the forum, it appears that the fronts of 451's don't have any pre-drilled holes but would imagine a template for the dealer is provided for positioning.

A lot of the cars I see come with a small dimple pressed into the urethane bumper to mark the drill points.

Texas requires a front tag, but I've managed to escape for years now. Always be polite to the officers and they might not look for othe things that need a ticket.

I will attempt to do this with the Smart as well if the dealer isn't required to mount it.

Here's a place in Seattle that does custom Euro plates for between $16 and $32; might save you a few bucks what with the strength of the Loonie now:

Here is a question. What about those that have to take delivery from a dealer that is out of your state and that state requires a front license plate but the state that you live in does not? Will the car still have a bracket on the front? I, personally, do not want anything on the front bumper. I guess I could request from the dealer when I get called not to put it on.

That's my plan, even though Ohio requires a front plate. Have the dealer give you the bracket(s) and you decide to put them on or not. I used double sided tape for the rear plate on our Mini and it works fine; plan to do the same thing on the smart - no drilling!

They are not required in AZ, But I always have the dealer give me the mount and I have them in the garage in case the state law changes.

Not necessary here in FL either. I'm soooo glad. Much cleaner look without the front plate
