Getting my interior bits & pieces painted by babybenz!

I'm SOOOOO excited! I did it and My car will be sooooo cool when I get the pieces back!

I feel sooooo testosteroney!!!!

Thanks to babybenz, bum-bling-b and all of you who help us non-DIYers by posting detailed directions and pictures.

I was a little scared to tear apart my brand new car, I NEVER do DIY because I'm not very good at it! With good instructions and pictures and encouraging "it's very easy, It just pops off" I was ready to try! It WAS easy!!!!

I was so full of male hormones by the time I was through, I scared my husband!

As I told bum-bling-b I think I'll be taking the motor out next!!!

So Karen what did you do take the bits off and ship them to babybenz? Which bits? Is he painting them the same yellow as the panels? How cool!

Don't you just love SCOA?

It's the same bits & pieces that bum-bling-b did and painted green. They are in his gallery. Mine will be painted yellow to match the car!

The link just puts me back on the main page, but as I am quoting you, I see the real link.

Can't wait to to see the completed pics Karen!

If you popped off the trim around the door handles too then kudos go to you! IMO, those are the most difficult to remove from the interior with the gear selector trim being an equal due to the shifter handle occasionally being difficult to remove. Are you going to install cruise yourself next?

Thanks! ....Yes, I did the door handles, I was a little nervous with that because of the fabric and it was a little obstinate! I also did the part with the gear shifter, the side benefit was being able to lubricate it before I had a problem that alot of people seem to have had!

I followed the directions someone had posted for the lubricating and the plastic collar thing turned easily and the shifter just popped off. went back on easily also!

I am driving the car bare naked (not me, don't want to scare anyone! ) The car is bare naked with no inside coverings but it will be worth it...When I go shopping or at work I will hide sunshine's nakedness with my window shade in the front window, I have dark tint so that will take care of the rest! I seem to get alot of window peekers, as evidenced by greasy nose prints

I'm going to a smart meet in Warner Robins, GA this Saturday, I think it will still be naked, but I'm sure everyone will understand!

Again, My thanks to all who give instructions and pictures...without it...NO WAY would some of us attempt it!
