NO, smart is made by DAIMLER, NOT Mercedes...."Mercedes" is to Daimler as "Lexus" is to Toyota and "smart" is to Daimler as "Scion" is to Toyota. "Daimler" is the parent company and "Mercedes" and "smart" are 'divisions' of that company.

OR more simply put, to say you have an "AMG smart" or even a "Mercedes smart" would be like saying you have a "Lexus Scion" or as it would relate to GM, a "Cadillac Chevy"......

But why imply something that has never actually happened and never will?

This sort of badging is because the owner is ashammed to own a smart and has to pretend it is something it isn't.

There are a lot of snobs in CT/NY. If you want to see attitude, drop by Lime Rock on PCA or Ferrari club days. It was a lot more intense when Bridehampton was open.

At a BMWCCA event, there were guys from the "M Police" removing the M badges which were stuck on generic BMWs. They left a note and a $20 bill under the wiper. The note was a warning, and these guys were serious.

Willow Springs in a nice track. It reminds me of LRP with a second longer straight.

Better yet - SRT. I'll own the first smart SRT3! Not to dwell on the negative though, as I posted before - I'm just not a fan of saying a car is something that it's not, but the car looks GREAT! FANTASTIC work!

...oh yeah a 70hp AMG. I forgot.

Kinda reminds me of seeing an E350 rebadged to an "E35 AMG". Anyone who can identify an AMG just things you're a poser, no offense to anyone here, ofcourse.
