If you want to install an autolever you're going to have to probably put in headlights the come OEM for them. If you want to spend a 1000+ on headlights housings and HID's you probably could get it done.

Like I said about the glare, the camera was set with a long exposure and it picks up lots of noise/glare. Changing the height of the lights is a simple manual adjustment. If you lights are not too high now, then you won't be too high when you install an aftermarket kit. It's how your current housings are aligned. The bulb only goes in one way, there is no adjustment on the bulbs.

The kit I have is a direct plug in and uses the stock harness. I have not tested the voltage. I always fire the car and the turn it on. Being that I have a pure I do not have auto-on and I didn't think about the function. You raise a good question. Most oem cars, fire the car and then the lights come on so they can have full draw of the 12V battery.

What eye docs say about HID's and age

When I was "researching" HID's I came across this thread. Here and in other ones there's a good deal of discussion about HID's and how they effect other drivers. For those who are interested, I thought I'd point the way to some of the science behind this. This article comes from The British Journal of Ophtamology. If you don't get too hung up on some of the technical words, it's really quite understandable. (BTW, I'm not an opthamologist and I do have HID's in my Smart.) Why HID headlights bother older drivers
