I painted my interior

Well there was no work today, so I decided to paint the smarts interior. The gray is ugly and matches nothing. more painting is on the way just did a bit today. The steering wheel is next along the the glove box handle and the doors

Looks good but it could easily look s*** if you carried on and painted more stuff.
Don't over do it, the accents look good.

You spent your day like I spent this afternoon!!!

I pulled a few pieces as well. I still need to do the button bank on my car next. For the time being I sprayed a few pieces so this paint (beige to match interior) will be on about a week and a half and be a good primer coat as I'm down to 10 days on my countdown clock until I paint my car a whole new non-Smart color. Once I spray my panels I'll be painting interior trim at the same time to match the new exterior color. For anyone who ever had Hot Wheels in the 60's and early 70's my car's color will be something along the lines of one of those colors.

I'll post some pics of what I painted tomorrow. One piece I decided to paint that I haven't noticed anyone else paint before and there is no regret at all - the gray piece inside the instrument cluster. For now it is beige and really matches well.

Evilution - at first I was offended as I am planning on painting more but I sat and thought about it a few minutes before I spat out some off the handle rude remark. Now that I thought about it, I totally agree since I've gone to some cars shows and seen some waayy over the top interiors that looked like they were painted by some kid straight off the short bus. That being said, I will still be going on with my plans as I've seen some others already do what I plan to do and it is quite tasteful - of course this is all opinion and each one of us has our own. And thanks as I partially used your site to get the instrument cluster out - took longer to find it on your site than it did to remove it (not intended to offend, that means it was VERY easy to remove the cluster, maybe 30 seconds)

Babybenz - have you considered maybe doing two colors instead of all yellow? Like gloss black or something? Might look good....
