I believe he has 205/50/15, maybe you should one size smaller like 195/50/15.
Dont need to fill any gaps. Car sits right down on the tires when I sit in it and I only weight 155lbs

I weigh 255lbs so maybe I shouldn't buy any springs at all.

Oh well, I just bit the bullet and couldn't help myself. I bought the H&R springs and the 16" wheels/tires at Tire Rack. Maybe I can lose a few lbs before they arrive.

Is there a "how-to" for spring replacement?

1. jack up the rear of the car.
2. take the wheel off
3. un bolt the bottom bolt of the shock
4. use pry bar to pull spring free
5. put new spring in
6. use another jack to jack up the lower mount on the drum to put the shock back in place
7. put bolt back in and wheel on and enjoy

Fronts are not worth putting in if u get the H&R springs it will look alot lower in the front apposed to the rear

Did you 2 measure the height of the front and back to see if the car is level. Baby Benz's car looks level at night but how does it look during the day? It just seems to me that only installing the rear springs will cause the back to be lower than the front.

Am I wrong?? Do either of you have pics of the car in daytime and on level ground?? I should be receiving my H&R springs by the end of the week and looking for advice. Thx.

Yes I did measure mine from the ground to the wheel weels and it was about a quarter of an inch different. If you do the lowering springs in the front it will be just over half an inch diffenrent

Just had the HR springs installed. By far, the best mod I have done. The car not only looks right, (I have the Smann kit and 17" Lorisner Speedys), but it handles way better on the highway. No odd tracking at 65-75mph and the rocking horse feeling when shifting is gone HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
