I like the look of the Kuhl FX, but am not excited about "glueing" over my existing body panels.... To those of you who have the Kuhl FX kit, are you happy with the fit? Can you tell up close that it fits on top of the existing body parts?
You have nothing to worry about when it say's glue'n. Trust me the stuff the body shop's use, is not your ordinary glue!! They glue roof's on car's, They glue bed side's on Pick up's That glue is stronger than spot welding!
If your worried about the panel be'n messed up cause of the glue than that is a valid concern, other than that, optimus Prime couldn't even pull that glue apart!
As you may well know we are the distributor for Kuhl FX. We have their kit on both of their smarts and install them regularly on other smarts. We do not glue it. We simply use automotive tape for the sideskirts (in case you ever need to take them off) and the front and rear spoilers simply snap over the existing pieces. We do use a couple of screws or rivets on the inner sides for additional security. We've driven 1,000's of miles on them and the fit is still perfect.
