Kustom cold air intake

AS many of you know I did not like any of the current cold air intakes. They are made out of aluminum and run hotter than the factory intake does. So I decided to make my own. This is a proto type right now but will be produced very soon. The final result will be made out of plastic and wrapped in carbon fiber of your choice of colors. this is a true cold air intake fed right into the fender well and sealed!!!!!!!!!

IN the fender well this will be sealed to allow only air from the scoop in

This is the factory scoop behind the fender I cut it out the K&N filter will sit right in the cut out and draw the air in from the scoop!!!!!!!!!

Sittin' on the edge of my seat for FINISHED product.

Sealed is a good thing to block out dust from the engine compartment. If no one understands what I'm talking about I can take a picture of my engine which I wash off regularly but yet remains a mess due to road dust.

Baby Benz... why not wrap the tube with some sort of insulation... thus keeping the Engine heat away from your fresh air coming in????

What a concept! Looks like somebody is going to make a true "outside" air intake available at last. Thanks for doing this one!

I'm anxious to see the final result. As far as I can see, all the other"CAI"s on the market are a waste of time.
I would suggest though if you're going thru the effort to develope this why not develope a scoop with an integral connection inside the engine compartment and do away with all the factory crap.
