Boris: I found someone to install my MDC CC since I didn't think I could do it myself (nor did I have a garage to work in or the tools to do it with). After watching the installation, I was glad that I didn't try to do it myself. My installer had previously installed the 451 unit for someone who got into trouble trying to install his unit for himself. It took him 2 hours to put mine in, and that was his first MDC installation, taking plenty of time for reading the instructions and casual conversation. He had the most of it done at one hour. For the LED light, we elected to drill a hole in the plastic of the center controls console housing instead of tearing up the fabric on the dash. It was clean and sanitary. In fact, he remarked what a slick and clean setup the whole thing was from start to finish, and easier to install than the 451. After installation, my installer drove it for quite awhile with me riding shotgun. Even though there are instructions for operation, we better figured out how to use it by playing with it. He was tickled at the operation and the features of the MDC unit. I am not pushing MDC--he simply liked the features and the operation better than the 451, although as I understand from others in the forums, that they both work equally well. It was a 25 mile drive home, and, of course, I played with it all the way home. I really like it, and I think the LED light was probably a nice addition to the unit, especially since you need it to set the sprint booster. Bill in K.C.
