Here is a shot of my new PIAA driving lights installed. Thanks to Evilution for the button bank modification and also suggesting the 004XT PIAA driving lights. This was a hard install. It involved me fabricating a bracket along with drilling it, removing the bumper, drilling the chassis, and finally fitting and focusing the PIAAs. I then had to do all the electronics using the button bank modification, and tapping into some existing wires. All in all it took about 8hrs of hard work.
The PIAAs fit perfectly in the two cubby holes that are set aside for the stock foglights. The difference here is that they are drilled in the chassis and are frikin bright. I already changed my headlight bulbs to some aftermarket PIAA bulbs but these are outshined by my new lights. I will be switching these to the HIDs with the ballasts (mentioned in another post) Check out the pics.
Don't ask me to break it down for any of you. It was difficult to just get the pieces made, drilled, cut and correctly fitted. Good luck to those of you who want to try this. You can PM me and I will try to help, but this is something I am cherishing since I am the only person here with aftermarket foglights that look pretty damn good installed and THEY ARE BRIGHT!!!
Oh yeah last but not least while I had all the bulbs exposed, I changed everything to LEDs. So the sidemarkers and every accessory light in front of the car is now LED white. The rear lights will be changed to LEDs but thats for another day.
My Compomotive Rims are on their way over finally after 4 months of waiting. My radio also went in this week since I had time off from work. A new Kenwood KVT-512DVD along with Garmin Navigation. I used the button bank modification to allow me to run the DVD player while driving (completely illegal but worth it, I have had this in my Audi for 5 years now).
So my car will be done once my rims and my replacement passenger window arrives.
