I've tried it both ways (have more than one Smart plus relatives and friends) and have found pulling the front end off to be much simpler. Pulling the front end was mentioned to be much simpler in one of the very first horn swap threads here from several months back and I thought the OP was smoking crack, after I tried it I found out they were onto something. This of course was after I did it the other way.

Scott I'm going to swipe your thread...

Wolo air horn FREAKING ROCKS!!!!!!!

Had to take off the left side of the front end to get my huge hands down there but DANG!!!! SOOO much more sound!!! Hardest mod I've done yet tonight... only because of the skirt removal.

skirt removal is easy two clips then slide back. Install put clips in molding and push on done

When I upgraded mine I just pulled the whole front off.. it was not much harder and made everything so much easier to work with. Anyone know if the Brabus comes with the twin-horn? If not I have a set for it already.

Since I have to rmove the entire front someday to replace the panel below the grill I think I will make this mod then.

Got to wait until it wams up a bit first.
