No shop.

I just saw you got added to the roster. I'm number #4 and #4 and just noticed the phone #'s aren't there but email is. I'm west of Defuniak. You'll pass by right near me if you take 1087 which is right off of 331. 1087 will take you to 285 which is almost a straight shot into Destin and even more so if you decide to go the Navarre get together.

Hey etbitty. Welcome to SCOA.
You said most of the solutions looked tacky, but maybe you could work on them. O.K.
Have a look at my home-built solution and see if it gives you any ideas for improvement.
I know my solution is seriously ugly, but it sure keeps the sun out of my eyes.
By the way, I really like your color combination of blue/silver.
Try www.bluemaxmods.com
Worth a look.
Pete

Gosh Pete, Thank you for sharing, and thanks for the compliment on the color combo. There are 4 in our area here (100 mile radius) and so far I'm the only blue/silver. 3 weeks owning this car and really love it.
can we not paste a picture into our post here from our desktop? or do we have to have a link to post from the web? I'd like to show you some pictures of how the wdrake extension is working.

There is a thread here somewhere on how to put pics in your post. Or you could post some pics in your SCOA Gallery.

I spent a couple of years in your neck of the woods (Ft. Rucker), back in '67 -69'. Mostly good memories.

I installed a pull down, retractable shade on the driver's side rail (cabrio). It fits perfectly, is barely visible from the outside, and looks a lot better than the other solutions I've seen. The suction cups don't work on the plastic covering the rail, so I attached the shade with little screws through the suction cups.

Here are some pics:

etbitty - if you decide to run down this way next weekend for our monthly smart club get together I promise to personally walk you through posting pictures on the website if you don't figure it out before then.

I'm bringing potato salad and dessert (store bought cause its better than homemade plus I'm too busy/lazy to make it)

OK, I did put up pictures of my sunvisor solution in the SCOA Gallery, I'm not sure if I can post the pictures here (I'll try) but they are in the gallery. OK I think I got the pictures up here. We'll see.

Pete, Hi I like your solution too. Seems to be the preferrable one so far, but, permanent also. I will keep it in mind if my solution gets to be to hard to deal with.
I live just 1.5 miles from the Ozark Ft. Rucker gate. I left from the Army in "84" after 4 years, we are originally from NYC and back in 84 didn't see any reason to go back there. Ozark is made up of yankees that didn't go home lol It's still a great place to live and we still love it, haven't been back to NY in a long time. Raised a daughter and she's married and living in Montgomery, graduated from Faulkner University a CJ major up there f/t with Compass bank waiting for a job to open to work as a Finger Print Analysis Tech with the state, waiting for them to "unfreeze" the budget. she will start working on her masters in CJ at AUM in January

Bum-bling-B: I'm still not sure we will make it this Saturday. We are waiting for my husbands schedule for his riding with the Sheriffs dept. as a reserve deputy, there is always a last minute deal with them. uggggg....... We will also be headed to destin the weekend of Labor Day and that week, so I don't know if he wants to head that way two weekends, we'll see. Thank you, you guys for helping me with all this. I enjoy the forum very much.

Pics look great ebitty.

No matter what you decide you are welcome to call up if you decide to take the shortcut to Destin you'll be coming right by here. Give me a call if you guys want to check out things like Cruise Control, trailer hitch, Scangauge, etc when you pass through town. Be careful, if you blink you'll miss the town.
