Paint touch-up

My barely born smart seems to have been tagged (or I tagged) on the rear bumper. The local dealer says no touch-up paint is available and that the only option is a total panel swap.

But then I see one on the web on a different website that I can't point to since my post count is too low. Does anyone have a product number for what you see if you google 'genuine smart touch up paint' so I can bring it to my dealer along with a WTF?

Right, that would be the same guy that I alluded to in the google instructions. I'm still hoping for a part number so I can slap my local dealer with it and say 'Uhh wha?' in response to their 'There is no touch up paint available, your only option is a full panel replacement'.

I have been waiting since early May to get touch up paint from the dealership in Pa. They have the paint there - they just don't know how much to charge me??

Silly, they won't give it to me and bill me later till they figure it out?

So, here I sit with a Silver Metallic bumper with a black mark showing. They first told me that it was injected plastic and it should be the same color throught out - NOT.

We were at the dealership, and they still would not release it.

What do they think it is liquid "gold" so to speak?

I will keep ya posted on what they charge me.

None of the metallic colors ** red, blue and silver ** are plastic all the way through. They are all painted over plastic and then clear coated. The white, black and yellow are plastic all the way through with no paint over the plastic.

I have a small black spot on my front bumper, probably from a small stone. I'm really bummed about it. I'll have to pick up some touch-up paint next time I'm near the dealer and try to touch it up.
