Removing Krylon Paint

OK, I took the cheap way out(dang budget/other wiser half!) and decided to paint the pieces myself. All was going fine until my 17 year old dog who can't see very well decided she had to see what I was doing and stepped on on of the boomerangs.I have been sanding away but can't get the scratches to disappear. Is there anyway to completely remove the Krylon paint w/o damaging the plastic? If I have to buy a new set I AM NOT painting them myself!

Hey! Some of us aren't so privileged to be able to pay the big bucks to upgrade our cars. Don't fret it - sometimes it works out - sometimes it doesn't .

You've been sanding away but the Krylon is sticking, not a bad thing. You can now use filler primer to spray again. Once you get a coat on, then sand. If the scratches aren't gone, prime again - sand.....continue till they are gone. Some of my nicer work I have used a rattle can on (skirts on one car I used rattle can filler primer and then a regular professional spray gun - turned out awesome)

Keep trying - you'll get it.

What primer should I use?I just sprayed on a satin top coat onto one of the doorhandles and it went on in a big glop on one spot even after I started spraying off the piece so now I have to fix that. Boy, give me a hunk of fabric and I'll hand you back a couture dress but a can of paint
I'll P.U. the primer asap!
Buy the way,Pea2so is in getting labotimized(sp)with the trannie upgrade, they are changing the battery and the engine light came back on, so I have a Merecedes C class for the day thanks to Loeber and I don't like it! It really doesn't seem to ride much better, feels really small inside, and my head feels un-comfortably close to the top of the windshield. I can't wait to get my Pea2so back!
B-B I love your cars! You inspired me to do the outside in one color!

"Filler Primer" is what it will say on the can.

If you try to rattle can your skirts, use adhesion promoter on them first. It's like $7 a can for the cheap type. Bulldog sells an aerosol can too - more expensive.......skirts is another topic though and not interior. PM me if you have any questions. While I have finally learned how to do a slightly above amateur professional spray gun paint job, if I was female my name would be "Spray Can Annie". I've done entire quarter panel patch jobs while living in not so up-to-date countries with a spray can and got phenomenal results.

My skirts are all red now. Look in my gallery to see them. The outside of Pea2so is all done except getting the ducktape adhesive off the back from having my rear window smashed out.

Krylon Fusion

Follow directions and it works great!!! No need to sand! Read direction. Mine have been painted for several months.
