i don't "object" to it. i just don't find it particularly relevant for me. and it sounds like a new perfume. or a soap opera. and since there are companies out there who customize these stickers, that's a good alternative.

it is interesting that the car does not have any emblems indicating it's model name - it's got smart branding, the make and it's got passion or pure branding, the trim level, but there's no indication that it's a fortwo. seems like an oddity to me.

and it does come up quite a bit having to explain what it is to passerby "what is it?" "it's a smart" "i know but what model is it?, is it a passion?" "no, it's a fortwo, or a 451" "really?, how come it doesn't say that?" "i don't know"... and so on.

I am confused about the statement that "passion" is not the model name. From the smart website, they list "smart fortwo pure", "smart fortwo passion coupe" and "smart fortwo passion cabriolet"

Sounds like model names to me.

i tend to think of them more as trim levels. like ford explorer eddie bauer, ford explorer XLT and ford explorer sport.

'Specially when there are other smart models out there - W450 City Coupes, W450 CDIs, W454 forfours, and W452 roadsters.

I'll be re-badging from "passion" to "fortwo," also for the above noted reason.

Dupe Post

Done. PDF galley proof for two silver-on-black "fortwo" badges received by email. €11.20 (@ today's exchange rate) sent via the German PayPal site. Daniel was my guy.

Just in from Daniel:

"Hello Dave,

"thank you very much for your quickly payment!

"Next month our website will be available in english and then we will advertising in the forum Smart Car of America. I hope we get many customers from the United States. ;-)

"Have a nice day

Daniel"

with shipping to the USA, approx cost for two mirror triangle badges was $20 US.
the person i worked with was Daniel - and he's at shop@smartsticker.de
Thanks for the info and the link, I just ordered custom stickers and Daniel got right back to me. Proofs are on the way.
