Rear fog lamp

Has anyone tried to or found a rear fog lamp mod? (Note: I did try search the forum, in cae this has been discussed, but kept getting an error.)

I would check the wiring on a 451, the 450 has one std.

Rear fogs are not legal in the US so I doubt the 451 has the function.

Both my MINIs have had rear fogs, as did my '99 Saab....

Cann't explain why, but if you drive with them on you will receive a ticket. US laws only allow red to the rear.

what i can't stand are the drivers who tool around with their rear fogs on a perfectly clear evening. grrrrrrrr

but, i've had lots of cars with rear fogs. great when visibility is low. i feel a bit safer knowing my backside is a little brighter.

i've never heard of any tickets, although the above drivers should be.

Rear fogs are red. Great safety equipment, I've been glad to have them when i can.

You're right, any light in back must be red. The way they did it on the MINI was to add a lamp; the Saab just lit another part of the existing cluster on one side. In both cases they were red, though.

Not sure how it can be done on the fortwo.

Okay, Some other countries use non-red rear facing fog lights and I assumed you were refering to those. It sounds like your basicly adding a brighter taillight?

I imagine that would be the easiest way to do it (such like Saab). I wonder if there is a solution out there.
