Does anyone have an answer to repairing small scrapes to the clear coat?

I've found Griot's Garage polishes to be supurb. I use the machine polishes with a Porter Cable buffer which would make quick work of them.
My car came home with a million swirl marks on the black plastic panels behind the Triton. Our Mini had the same thing on the plastic caps on the windshield, which are similar if not identical to that on the smart. It took about a minute to buff them glass-smooth, after which I applied a coat of Griot's paint sealer. They'll be perfect for a long time.
A buffer might seem overwhelming for some people, but you can't beat the results, and if you have other (larger) cars you'll find the time savings to buff and wax your car very significant. Compared to having a shop detail your car, the thing pays for itself on the second car you polish.
