I got the emblem off with no problem. Exactly as described and no damage. The problem however, I now have a "ghost" emblem on my hood. I used the wd 40 and got off all the adhesive and cleaned then waxed and still a ghost emblem? Oh well maybe in time it'll go away with sun exposure etc.
on the yellow one of my girlfriend - yes.
that's because, she bought it as a fife months old and the sun did it's work...
but why is the "ghost image" lighter than the rest?
i'm glad, that i removed my emblems after a month. ;)
When I removed mine I used a hair dryer to soften the glue and a fishing "small" plastic (nylon) stainless steel leader line. Heated the emblem and then slowly using a sawing motion back and forth across the backside of the emblem if it became difficult I stopped and heated the emblem some more. After the emblem was removed there was often some black glue substance still on the panel so while warm I just rolled it with my finger and then cleaned everything up. Worked like a charm for me.
