Shoulder Belt Placement

So my one complaint is that the shoulder belt locator is not adjustable. Both me and a friend that also owns a smart notice that it rubs out necks and we can't adjust it like on other cars. I have removed it from the locator on the seat and that helps. Any better solutions?

I bought a plastic clip at the local Advanced Auto parts store. Cost less that $5. It allows you to adjust the belt to move it onto your shoulder from your neck. The belt was really bugging me. This fixed it.

I will try that. Sounds like an easy solution.

Mfoster - Thanks

Picked up what you suggested. A total of $3. Gave one to my friend and she and I are VERY happy. They work great.

does anyone have a solution to the problem of the passenger seat belt not retracting? The belt guide at the top of the passenger seat is too close to where the belt retracts and causes too much friction. Every time someone rides with me they have this problem and they're always embarrassed thinking they broke it.

Went to Walmart and bought a soft sleeve that works on any seat belt. Costs vary from $4 -10 depending on materials or style. Velcro makes it possible to wrap it around the belt. It slides up and down so I adjust it to my best comfort level while I drive.
It works well for me and resolved that issue.

Not only does my belt not retract they had the metal clasp on backwards so it was really goofy until I spent about 5 minutes or so twisting and turning the nylon belt to get it in the right direction. Also, this problem of the belt not retracting is no small problem many times when I have had a passenger the belt is hanging loose and if we were in an accident the belt would not work, I think this should be a recall considering how many people seem to have this issue. If was any other car I would say screw the seat belt but In my Smartie a seat belt is just plain Smart.
