Silence the annoying tone???

Has anyone silenced the annoying seatbelt buzzer??? Tried to hunt it down but it seems to be coming from the dash.

Any ideas or instructions???

Doesn't it get silent by itself after a while? ;)

You have 3 option.
1 - wear the seatbelt, it is there to save your life.
2 - clip the blue electical connector from under the seat and stick a single piece of wire into both terminals.
3 - Take the speedo apart and desolder the little speaker (not recommended).

Please don't say you don't wear your selt belt because you are a good driver or it is uncomfortable. You aren't the only driver on the road who can cause you to have an accident plus it's a lot more comfortable than a trip through the windscreen.

Excellent mind picture and oh so true. Thanks for the reminder to us all!

(I personally can't even back the car out of the garage without putting on my seatbelt, just habit that feels weird without wearing it...)

Agree with all of the above sentiments. I'm an old lady and remember the time when there WERE no seatbelts in cars. I used to believe that I didn't need to wear one, and later I said it was too uncomfortable. I'm short and they do have a tendency to cut my neck. But I found a fix at my local Wal-Mart: a little clip that goes on the lap portion of the belt, with a hook for the shoulder portion. This keeps the shoulder portion from cutting my neck and is guaranteed to still permit the seatbelt to perform its assigned function. Lots of fixes out there!

I am adding a "ditto" here. I just drove around my neighborhood to give my truck it's weekly stint... and I couldn't make myself leave the driveway without having my belt fastened first. Old habits die hard, and fortunately this is one that should never die, lest you follow closely behind!

to tell you the truth, I don't even know what the seatbeat warning sounds like? It can't be that annoying! (I have heard it, but its not as loud as most cars)
