Try It, You'll Like It!!

I am one of the people who got the stage 2 boosters then got the cruise with it built in. But I didn't send mine back. I sold it at the Coral gables Smart centers 1 year birthday party. The guy who bought it didn't need 30 days to decide, he needed 30 seconds. We didn't even get out of the lot and he could tell the difference. I just spoke to him again and he loves it.
I live in the Fla. Keys. We have one major road that runs the length of all the Keys, US.1 . In my town the speed limit is 45mph. So everyone is doing 50 or more. It is a four lane road with a suicide lane in the middle. Every time you pull out it is a challenge. Before I had the booster I was always worried about getting out quick enough. Now it is not an issue. Driving a Smart on this road is like playing Frogger live. I couldn't go back to this car with out it.

This is easily worth a car payment.

Thanks again Boris

An Unscientific Test

I installed a Version 2 on my wife's car last night. I have not told her about it. Let's see if she notices. She does not drive that much (2,500 mi/yr) so I am going to give it a couple of weeks before asking about her impressions.

She loves the car. This is the first time she has ever taken a great interest in her vehicle.

I test drove the car for several miles after installation, and I noticed it right away. When the car is underway, acceleration is smoother, with a less time lag - a desirable result on the freeway ramp or lane changing in traffic. I did not notice much difference from a standing start.

Just an impression of course.

Well I got the unit today... and installed it tonight. I couldn't wait till tomorrow to test it. I wasn't off the street before I noticed the difference. The lag going around corners is gone and I'm doing 70 before I even realize it. Even on the interstate it feels like it has more power to pass... I understand there isn't any additional power... maybe it's just a better use of what's in the the engine to begin with.

Boris you should send a new set of front tires with this thing. ... or pay the speeding ticket that I'm sure I'll get.

Granted I have to find the cash to pay for it in 30 days but I'm not sure I can take it off the car.

I was a staunch opponent of this but it's exactly what's advertised and I'm sold.

I am glad you changed your mind by giving it a try and seeing it for yourself.

Thank you for your feedback.

The newest version of this well know cruise control module now comes with an adjustable sprint booster! Eliminate the lag that is caused by the smart car drive by wire system. The sprint booster is a $250 value and now comes built in with this module.
Just looking at the SM offer on the MDC cruise control (above), priced at $450, and the Sprint Booster priced at $319 separately, this is quite a deal. I don't have either CC or the booster but just from a value for money standpoint the MDC with the Sprint (and the LED kit thrown in as well) seems hard to beat.
