Sunroof on a Passion?

Has anyone put a sunroof in their Smart 451? I have an 08 Passion with the Panorama roof. I suspect I could put in a pop up roof or go whole hog and put a mechanical one in. The idea would be to get better airflow in the car and cool it off or let the air flow more without opening the windows that much. Plus, I love sunroofs. The smart is the first car that has lasted this long without me putting in a sunroof. What are your thoughts?

The roof is polycarbonate, and should take the machining OK. Safe? Not so sure. If you roll her, what happens as your head strikes the install?

You should have picked up a cabrio.

You can open it at any speed.

I have to admit - that's ONLY thing I really miss from my old '97 Linc - that sun/moon roof. Don't like the sun on my skin (1 bout with cancer is enough) - but would use that Linc roof early and late in the day.

I have found as the weather warms up that the car's a greenhouse. I wouldn't mind a roof vent. cannon, check out sunroofs.org and let us know what you decide.

I have never heard of anyone cutting into the polycab roof. I would wait until after the warantee is up.
