Trunk release via relay

I have a new Kenwood stereo. It has external switching capability for two devices. I would like to be able to open the trunk latch using the Kenwood. I know I would need a relay, but which one and how to hook it up? I'm assuming I need just a pulse signal to release the latch. Also, any good ideas for the other switched device? Thanks.

I understand wanting to use the capabilities of the Kenwood but if you are already in the car, why not use the key fob?

Valid point. All I can say is it would be easier to push the button than fumble for the fob. I just found the thread on using a blank button on the dash to do it. Wanted: Button Bank Modification
I suppose all I would need is a relay and I could use the Kenwood instead. I wonder what else such an arrangement could control?

Or just press the unlock button on the dash, since you're going to have to actually go to the rear of the car to lift the glass anyway. Then you'd just have to press the release handle below the window to open!
