I use that model horn on my motorcycles.
It is rated at 138 DB.
Also you should be useing a relay, run at least 16 gage wire for the horn power from the relay and use the stock horn + wire as the donor wire to controls the relay ( add a fuse is a good to have also :-)

I posted the sound of the Italian Air Horn on my new Smart Car weblink here - check it out. I put a Stubby Antenna on and an arm rest - too cool.

Just about all of the lag that you've experienced with the classic "Italian Air Horns" comes from the compressor having to compress all of the air in the plastic tubes that connect it all together - not from compressor spin-up time.

The Stebel horns have essentially no tubing and very little extra air to compress - the result is noise NOW!

I doubt it - those puppies tend to be BIG.

But it would be great in the Smart

Did my horn swap this weekend, not tough and it sounds so great..... I did pull both fenders and front header as a unit and that wasn't tough at all. Did break one clip on rocker panel and of course the dealer didn't stock yet, but is getting me one. I told him not to rush since the panels are out for white paint.
