Where The Heck Are The Instructions? (S-Mann cabrio roof spoiler)

So...

I'm told by my housekeeper that the new S-Mann cabrio roof spoiler I ordered from Boris & Co. arrived at home today, safe and sound. She says, however, that there were no installation instructions accompanying it.

Granted I haven't seen the thing yet (I get home in eleven days, not that I'm counting or anything), and I suppose it's probably not Rocket Surgery to hang the thing on the car, but c'mon, guys!

A lot of aftermarket farkles I've bought for the Cabrio - almost all of 'em, in fact - came with no directions for proper installation. How hard can it be to generate some kind of documentation so that those of us who don't take our cars apart & put 'em back together every day can install these nifty toys in a timely fashion, without stumbling around blindly, or having to rely on the forums or email?

I'm not pinning the blame on anyone in particular here. I suspect there's enough culpability to go around. Tellyawhat, though; it sure makes those companies like Area451 who *do* include well-written installation directions shine like diamonds.

I'm just sayin', is all...

My S-Mann roof spoiler (coupe) and S-Mann bumper didn't come with instructions either. I agree that the manufacturer should include instructions

No need to wait; I already know there aren't any. I asked my housekeeper to open the box to check for shipping damage, and to check for installation instructions. She told me there weren't any, and that's all I need to hear. She wouldn't be my housekeeper if she wasn't trustworthy.

Yeah, that's what I heard from Boris when I emailed SmartMadness for directions. He said that the factory didn't send 'em.

What's up with that, anyway?

A lot of the aftermarket goodies are made in Germany, and shipped all over from there
Suppliers like Michalak at one time included pictorial instructions, and at one time even posted them on their website. Then they stopped....probably someone messed something up and blamed them.

One of the major independant suppliers, who supplies me and several other mjor suppliers who are supporting vendors on this forum, speaks very poor English, and has no means of getting translations for the items he buys in Germany and then resells to everyone.
His website is in both English and German, it is obvious that a machine is used to translate from German to English. Once in awhile there is a spelling mistake in the German version, then the English translations can get real wild !
My German is pretty good, I communicate with him in German, but translating instructions can be difficult,if you have ever tried it in any language. I pass on TÜV papers, for example, to customers who buy rims, e.g., but these are all in German and probably benefit perhaps only 1% of customers .
That is the problem when the middleman is in Germany, and even íf he does get instructions, gets them only in that language.
The internet is a wonderful thing, it has flattened the earth, so to speak, but not all the little kinks and details have been worked out yet, as we can see.
