Windows - Auto Up Mod?

Does anyone know if it is possible to mod the power windows to have auto up functionality? Actually holding the button is SO taxing!

I have one of these on my S2000:
(I'm not allowed to post links because I don't have 3 posts here yet. So you'll have to copy and paste the following into a new window and add the "www" in front of it and a ".com" behind it.)

thehoffmangroup

Go to "all products" and select "Power Windows One Touch Window System"

Auto down and up. You'll need a second one if you want the same for the passenger window.

How long does it take for your window to complete it's cycle? My Cadillac has power down but not up you could get something in the window that you don't want and do damage to either the window or that something.

No auto up is a safety feature to prevent catching someone's head, arm, fingers, etc.
Bigger issue..."Actually holding the button is SO taxing!" You have got to be freaking kidding...
Time to join a gym to work on your upper and lower arm strength.
Or, if it is an attention issue, stop trying to text while driving and make sure you get back on your ritalin.

Give the dude a break. It's like telling people with auto windows that they're to lazy to use a crank. It's for ease and convenience. He asked a simple question and if all you have to do is flame him then go somewhere else.

Interesting. My Jeep Commander - like many new cars, including Mercedes - has an auto-up feature.

Perhaps you're confused, as the window switches have been changed in most new cars to prevent someone from accidentally rolling the window up and catching an errant body part in the opening.

Ah. I understood the smart-assery in the original post.

Some people get it, some people don't apparently.

It's been suggested that steroids can cause 'roid rage' and inhibit the mental faculties of some users, leading them to write nasty posts telling others to join gyms and make posts that have incorrect information in them.

...

Sammy26.2 -

I don't know of any auto-up kits specifically for the Smart, but there are kits out there (and Mercedes does have auto-up features on their cars). Seems to be quite a few kits for Hondas.

Sorry you are offended...

Sorry you took offense...not sorry about posting an opinion about this. Could have done the LOL passive-agressive thing but chose not to. The
"SO tiring" just struck me as incredibly whiney.
BTW... not going away anytime soon.

I'm not sure I understand your question. The auto-up module doesn't change how long your window takes to go up. It will still go up at the same speed as it would if you held the button on your own. All the module does is do the holding for you. When it gets to the top, it's your window regulator that stops the window. It's no different than if you were to hold the button yourself and didn't let go at the top. No damage will be done because your regulator knows when to shut the circuit down once it hits the top limit regardless of whether or not you're holding the button.
