2008 Smart Fortwo Passion 451
Didnt want to see the sub in my Fortwo. Just not enough room for anything if you mount in the rear. Also didnt want to obstruct access to the engine lid. My second choice would be the back gate and mold a single 10" woofer into it. It would have to be recessed so not to damage anything placed in the back and not to damage the woofer or woofer grill.
So I decided to use the under dash space on the passenger side. Plenty of airspace to make a sealed box. However, challenging to build the mold upside down to get the basic shape, then to modify to allow it to be placed up there after it was reinforced. Then make the seperate plate for spacing and ring for mounting. Carpet it and mount to enclosure to seal the box.
It came out nice, however I would like to get about .15 cubic airspace more, because the woofer recommends .45 and I'm around .35.
How much rms power do you think the eclosure can handle before it vibrates all the screws in the dash and how much does it cost? I live near Kendall Lakes and would like to see it perform with a decent 45Hz bass drop. I currently have a Solobaric 10 with a old school PPI 400rms competition amp and am looking for a custom enclosure. Thanks.

do you have any build pics or dimensions i think the one listed on here that fits the8" woofer is a bit to small for me.
although i am going to build one soon and see
When you have your final design and installation, are you going to make This available to those of us who would never be able to do it ourselves and are willing to pay?
