Hopefully into a switched 12vdc source, there, so the lights are not on all the time, but only when the ignition is on.
Actually, I'm thinking that he should tap in to the headlight fuse, so lights will come on only when he driving at night or even better have separate switch for them.
I was thinking about doing this, but had a question or two before I got started:
I would like to use a constant slot on the fuse box but have a switch mounted over on the driver-side dash, would this work ok? I would like to put the switch over where I will install the 2nd 12v socket from Cubefx's post (though I am not allowed to post the link here since my post count is too low)
What type of fuse would be good on the positive line or would I even need one? I would rather be safe than sorry. Would a 15a fuse work, or do you need the specs from the LED Lightbar =P
Sorry for the newbie questions, I really like my Smart and would like to personalize it at least a little bit, ha ha!

It could work fine.
I think the lights already came with an in-line fuse, I don't remember. I have no idea what size you'd need/want to use. Sorry!

...Or maybe tap into the dome light, so they come on with that.
