1st Attempt, the box is a very tight and does not allow the firewall bracket to attach and the pressed on pronged T-Nut came loose (flimsy) from the other side (which attaches to the dash frame).
2nd attempt, this is like figuring what comes first the chicken or the egg. I had to remove the subwoofer from the enclosure. Then remove the pressed on T-Nut. I replaced the T-Nut with a 6mm (10mm head) bolt about 1 1/2" long, pushed it through the existing hole and tightened a nut on the other side with a washer (see picture). This made it much more solid and stronger. I then trimmed the existing bracket 1/2" and drilled 2 new holes. I positioned the enclosure and tightened another nut and washer to the dash frame. Then trim some of the plastic from the right side of where the bracket bolts up to (see picture), then install the firewall bracket with the existing nut. Holding firmly up on the enclosure, I screwed in 2 new self tapping wood screws. All that was left was to run the wires to the amp and DONE ! I have the Diamond D3 500-4channel Amp with 400 watts, I used 100 watts each of the front Pioneer Premier Speakers and bridged 200 watts for the Subwoofer. The enclosure and JLAudio 8W3v3-4 subwoofer (8 lbs) make a huge difference in the sound, this car really KICKS, especially when I play my Taiko Drum CD I bought from Japantown in San Francisco!
