Maybe so, but MY $5 Avenger antenna is 'ribbed' for my visual pleasure...

I have the Avenger antenna and the FM reception is about the same however there is almost no AM reception.

OMG, that is just wrong on many levels.

On a similar but off-topic note, why are they giving the upcoming electric smart the unfortunate name "smart ED?" It sounds like the car comes with corporate sponsors that are certain pharmaceutical companies. It should instead be called "smart ER." Back on topic...
