avidc nav systems

i am thinking about the new MDC CC from smart madness. i printed out the instructions. i noticed it has the female plug for the navigation radio speed sensor. so we can hook up that wire on our nav systems. so now were is the wire.

It has a what? I don't think that's used for what you think it's used for. If you're referring to the orange rectangular connector, that's where the wire connects that goes to the speedometer pass through cable. It reads the speed from the CANBUS to make sure it's within range of what it expects to be.

If you're referring to something else, a link may be handy so we can see what you're talking about.

down load the mdc instructions for install. on page 8 bottom pic of box. on the circutboard it says connector for a speed signal to use a navigation system. it is marked with and F on the circutboard top left hand corner. what wire from the radio plugs in there?

Can you please post a link? There is not standard place that I'm aware of to download the MDC install instructions.

Looking at the german instructions I have, I think see the connector you're talking about. I think that's for use with the speedometer that MDC also makes, to signal data back to it about cruise conditions. I don't think it's for use with generic 3rd party navigation systems.

go to smart madness and down load them they are there for us to down load to install. 14 pages. nice instructions. and color pics. acrobat is the system they use and you can even print them out and take them with you to your car to look at.
