Bluetooth Mic Placement

Hey -

Where did you put your mic? Mine is by the stereo but people tell me they cant hear me at all especially when it is windy outside.

Can someone chime in and let me know what there experience has been with there placement?

Thanks,
Eric

I have mine mounted in the dashboard between center stack and steering wheel. Same problem you are having. People can hear me but say it's muffled or I sound far away. Too much background noise? If I was to do it again, I would try to mount closer to my head, maybe up near the sun visor or the ceiling light.

blue tooth

I have a rear view mirror blue tooth device thats pretty cool, its snaps over the existing rear view mirror and also had an ear bud attached to it if its noisy. Does not take up additional space since its on the rear mirror and works through its own speaker, or your car speakers. Announces phone calls, etc. Got it through Hammacher Schlemmer.

same here, i mounted it on top of the steering wheel stack, it is very close to me but it still does not sound great; i also was thinking about repositioning it high up by the rear view mirror or the visor, but i doubt it will improve things much.... all i can do is speak MUCH louder - that helps.... :-)

I love having my microphone clipped to the visor. I'm told I sound better on the bluetooth than directly on the cell.

The microphone was the one included in my JVC Bluetooth add-on for the JVC AHD-39 head unit.
