Dualing Subwoofers

Just want some opinions here. My Smart will be equipped with the premium sound package which includes the under seat subwoofer. I have no idea how it will sound, but I'm guessing it won't be too impressive. I currently have an Alpine Basslink 10" subwoofer that I was going to put in my Mercedes, but I got to thinking it might compliment the Smart subwoofer very well. If the current sub is 8" the 10" might aid in the lower frequencies if they are tuned correctly. What do you guys/gals think?

This will be used in conjuction with a nice Alpine head unit (aceing the factory unit)

Something else I forgot to ask. Even thought the Basslink is a very compact subwoofer, where the heck would I put it? Could I mount it to trunk floor even though that is the engine access?

I've got a few ideas up my sleeve.

Have you looked up under the dash? there is a LOAD of room under there ;)

Hmmmm. Good idea. I had a Geo Metro a couple years ago and I converted it into a truck, but still wanted some good bass so I managed to shove an 8" Bazooka tube inside the dashboard completely out of sight.....not only did it fit perfect the sound was phenomenel. People didn't understand where the bass was coming from. Of course I had to remove all the blowers and tubing associated with the A/C, but it never had A/C to begin with so it didn't matter.

I have the best radio setup smart USA offers - but to my ear its not that great. I think the car would benefit most from a set of rear speakers.

Agreed. I do not have the upgraded stereo and am putting some serious thought into something else.
