At SMARTCENTEROFBUCKHEAD they are now doing a Indash double din ELCIPSE DVD/NAV System. It looks clean and is in my opinion the best way to go since it looks like its already built in.

I will have mine done in a couple. I am installing the kenwood P-Nav512 w/ KNAV-G510 Garmin unit. I have a kenwood in my audi and this is a newer model. I have the Single din Facet so I just have to wait for my paycheck next week and bingo I got myself another navi unit.

We Have been doing the Pioneer and Kenwood double din navigation units with much success. We build a custom Dash panel and it ends up looking like a factory option. Check out our "Got Stereo?" link from the home page for more ideas.

Wicked Horrible Stereo Noise

Hey Smart crew, I have an issue. I've installed a Pioneer AVIC DVD and nav unit into my Smart For Two (Pulse). It looks killer but... I have a wicked horrible noise in my amplifiers. It's not the ordinary inducted stereo noise, it's more like a creaming whinning noise.
I'm a professional installer so I've done the due diligence and swapped head units, amplifiers and cables. I'm convinced that it's not the equipment. My question is, has anyone else come accross this problem? Is it common to this car? Can it be rectified? Lemme know yo'.

Need more info to help. Are you using outboard aftermarket amps or the built in power of the head unit?
