Anything from 6.25" to 6.75" will work, but you will probably have to do some cutting and trimming. The only sure way to avoid cutting/trimming is to remove one of the factory speakers and take it with you to the stereo shop. Buy one with the same depth that has screw holes in exactly the same spots.
If you are up for a little more adventure, here some links:
More links can be found by searching "DIY Stereo Installation" on this forum. Do your homework. Many of us have done speaker upgrades, and we're here to help.
FWIW, I put in 6 1/2 in PolkDB651's without any cutting or trimming and mounted them behind the factory grills. The threads mentioned by Florida are great. There's also some helpful panel removal info on FQ101.com

Reason: spelling, duh
Crutchfield must have some crazy 5 1/4" speakers if they fit! I just replaced my 451 speakers today with some 6 1/4" Sony Xplodes (you don't need to say it :P). Even at the same size it's hard to get the holes to line up and by hard I mean impossible. The factory speakers mounting holes extend far out from the speaker. I brought the speaker with me to the store to make sure the holes would line up. I could only find 6x9s that had holes far enough out. I ended up just getting large washers that screwed into the factory holes and were wide enough they held the speaker in quite snugly. There was no wiggle room at all to worry about vibrations. There's probably better solutions out there but with no door panels on there was only so much driving around I could do to find a solution :P
