Other than crunching for SETI, I probably would do those things on my notebook. Still don't want a cell phone though. And, somehow (not sure why) I have an aversion to gadgets which start with a lower case i.

This thread is going south. The fact is that I don't really see the full use of a computer in a car. It made more sense when navi/dvd head units were $2000 plus.

One reason and one reason only would I put a PC in my car today: WIFI. Imagine driving down the road listening to my favourite industrial or drum'n'bass internet radio station. Ahhh. Intel just did this in a smart that they used to show off their WiMax, which is already up and running in Portland according to the vid, below. Swee installation of the LCD screen in the front of the car.

I guess driving a smart while darting between humongous SUVs, big rigs, and newbie teenage drivers with a stiff crosswind blowing isn't exciting enough...

atleast it wont crash like the Microsoft XPsp123vista7bsodlolcrap model

the apple i car will be the coolest car ever, it will be dear have no features, but you will be able to BUY accessories from the iGarage and upload them, and everyone is going to want one!
