My radio mods are on hold for a few months ...super busy at work and no time to do all the mods I intend on Farnsworth... so do not wait on my particular install
Re the keeping of the factory system...
Seems to me a LOT of us buying the smart car are an odd older demographic
Over the years I have bought a bunch of "Used" cars.... I NEVER made an offer on any vehicle that had an aftermarket Alarm or Stereo.... just too much potential that the installer or DIY owner's changes were hack jobs that will cause problems...
When I install aftermarket stereos I always keep the factory stuff and Never hack into the factory wiring... sold used or traded, the vehicle is back to basic stock configuration....YMMV
