nice setup, is one amp pushing both subs? and you have to change your alternator or do you just upgrade to a yellow top battery?
Thanks! The Lrx 5.1 is a five channel amp(2 channels for the mids/tweeters,2channels for the 6.5"woofers,and channel 5 powers the 13"sub.The Lrx2.4 powers the 8"sub.It is crossed over higher than the 13".These amps are very efficient and I haven't had to change the alternator or the battery! I can e-mail you pics of the system from my I-phone if you or anybody else are interested.By-the-way,I ordered the Audison Bit One processor today!!
This thread got me wondering just how loud my system is,so I borrowed a db meter from a friend to find out.I turned the system up to where I listen to it when I want a full-on concert experience and it measured 108db!!!!!!! That was without really pushing the system!
I own a dB meter. While sitting in the car I can't handle much over 101-102 dB! For me, that's the threshold of pain! And inner ear distortion. The sound system is still doing ok at that point though. If I get out of the car it still sounds clean. Oh, did I mention that sustained sound levels over 85 dB cause permanent hearing loss?

Here is a Decibel Exposure Chart:
85db 8 hours
88db 4 hours
91db 2 hours
94db 1 hours
97db 30 min
100db 15 min
103db 7.5 min
106db 3.75 min
109db 1.875 min
Being a professional musician,I am very careful with my ears, and after playing in some very loud rock bands for over 30 years,my hearing is still very good.Just because my system is capable of extreme volume levels doesn't mean that I always listen to it that loud!!!
