Infinity 6020cs Question

Hey guys just bought my set of 6020cs and going to install this weekend putting the tweeters in the pillars with a modified swivel installation(for a little direction to the seats.) My question is what are you guys running on the tweeter setting 0db's or -3db's. And where did you install your tweeters?
Thanks
James

I too installed the tweeters in the pillars. I set them @ -3db. Given how much closer they are to your ears and the amount reflective surfaces, -3db may not be enough padding. I eventually have to run a sweep with my RTA to truly say.

I'm happy with the tweeter and its integration, but the woofers have always sounded weird, and my guess it has to be the weather stipping cloth right up against the woofer. I think much of the upper mids reflect back into the woofer.

Hey Conchobar
Have you looked at the Boss600? I'm telling you install this and you will be very satisfied with the sound system. Look at the Boss under seat Thread and others. The only thing left would be some rear speakers. I also set mine at -3bd and used the deck EQ to adjust, have the boss600 in a sub woofer output for separate -12to +12DB's tuning at the deck.

How did you instal your tweeters? I used the ball socket and made special attachments(with parts supplied) to swivel them toward me.

I do plan on buying the Boss 600. It can be had for $130 on many sites. The stock bass box is awful. Regarding how I fit the tweeters, I did the same as you. They look very nice in the pillars.

No I did not counter sink my tweeters. I used the "flush mount" kit, which is actually a surface mount kit. I did not use the nut. They fit perfectly in the hole I made, but I added some hot glue just to be safe. I can swivel the tweeters on the fly. I eventually will post photos.

It was nice to have all those options to mount the tweeters from Infinity in the box. Pleasepost some pics some people can see other options.
